Series SMT-500 tachometers are robust precision instruments designed for frequent use for measuring revolution, surface speed and distance (length). The large LC-Display or the bright red LE-Display allows excellent readability also at places with adverse illumination.

A measuring tip or cone can be attatched as well as a measuring wheel to the model SMT-500C or SMT-510C with their incorporated 7mm measuring shaft.

The advantage of direct contact measuring is the higher resolution and consequently the higher accuracy of the measurement. With 60 pulses per revolution, the SMT-500 series offer an industry leading maximum accuracy over the entire measuring range.
